There are 20 copy attributes, plus 3 required statistical categories. They can be applied to new records individually, or batch applied using saved templates with values specific the to type of material (for example: Videos, Audiobooks, Children's materials, etc.)

See Copy Attribute Templates for more information about managing templates.

Statistical Categories

These fields are used to count statistics for the NYS Annual Report and the field values map to Annual Report questions. Three statistical categories are required:

  • Age Level - describes the intended audience of the item
  • Annual Report Category - describes the type of material
  • Fiction/Nonfiction

Copy Notes

Copy notes can be added to a copy as a public note that displays in the public online catalog and to staff, or a staff note, which only displays to staff.

Copy notes are not searchable, but do display in Shelf List reports.

Copy Tags

Copy tags are brief descriptions that can be used to group copies together for the purpose of searchability.

Currently, the only type of copy tag is a "Digital Bookplate" which display in the public online catalog, and are searchable using the search index selection list (keyword, author, title, ..., Digital Bookplate).
