Web Client - Add Copies


The Add Copies option is used to add an additional copy to an existing Volume Record.

Add Copies from Catalog > Holdings View

  1. Retrieve the title record from a catalog search, click Holdings View
  2. Select the Volume record, right click
  3. select Add Copies
  4. The Volume/Copy Editor opens in a new tab


Add Items (Copies) from Item Status

  1. Enter the barcode of the copy to which you are adding a new copy
  2. Select the record, right click
  3. Select Add Items
  4. The Volume/Copy Editor opens in a new tab


Add Copy

In the Volume/Copy Editor

  1. Enter the barcode in the Volume details section
  2. Enter all relevant copy attributes
  3. Click Save & Exit
  4. The Volume/Copy Editor tab will close


View added copy

In Holdings View, click the browser refresh button to refresh the catalog record, then click Holdings View again. Your new copy will display.

In Item Status, you will NOT be able to view your new copy. Click the Title link in the record you started from to open the record in the catalog. Then click Holdings View.
