Inactive Barcode


Once a patron barcode has been replaced, the barcode become inactive. Patron accounts cannot be retrieved using an inactive barcode - scanning the card in CheckOutItems? will return a "barcode [number] not found" error.

If a card offered by a patron at Checkout returns the barcode not found error, scan again to rule out a mis-scan. Then, open Patron Search and scan the barcode in the Search form to bring up the patron's current, active record.

A patron's inactive barcodes (replaced barcodes) can be viewed from the Patron Account > Edit area? .
